Feature screenplay · Music drama
Written by Jim Peacock
When two fourteen-year-old best friends and songwriting partners are pulled apart by the widening gap between their families’ fortunes — one girl’s father rocketing into country stardom while the other’s leaves, forcing her and her mother into a trailer park — each girl channels the ache of separation into writing.
Their two paths converge on a single ballad about the friendship neither of them could let go of. As industry ambition threatens to claim the song, and the girl, for itself, the two friends fight their way back to each other, culminating in a reunion on the Nissan Stadium stage where the world finally hears what they wrote together.
Featuring 7 original songs by Jonny Houlihan.
